These groups are designed to offer members a way to connect with each other and potentially send each other business.

The idea is that by limiting membership, you eliminate competition within the group.

The agenda for meetings of the most structured networking is pretty simple. If Joe asks for an introduction to a specific person to a specific company, someone in the group may know this person or know someone in this business that can facilitate the introduction of Joe. The more specific the request, it is more likely to trigger another person’s memory group.

A hint of last minute:

Stay focused on the networks of people in the group, not the people themselves.
